White House -Unit L Studio Apt

Positive: Cute space in historic house. Negative: The accommodations were not appropriate for an older person who is not accustomed to doing many stairs. I was a solo traveler and had to carry my (3) 50 lb bags up three flights of stairs to the 3rd floor. For a woman in her 60's it was not ideal. Parking situation was also not ideal, as free parking entailed parking at The West End Hotel, 6/10 of a mile away (approx 15 min walk) down Lindell Blvd. For a solo woman to walk that distance in the dark and in the rain did not feel very safe. Metered parking did exist in the front of the house and was free from 7pm - 7am, however that meant getting up pretty early on a daily basis to move my car or put $5 on the meter every two hours, which becomes exceedingly expensive. All in all, the place was fair and good for those probably without vehicles and more spry to do many stairs. I did have to leave and go to the Hampton Inn where there was parking and elevators. Unfortunately there was no refund option, so lost quite a bit of money this week.

Great location, comfortable bed, great value Positive: Great location Negative: The check in being 10 mins walking distance from the property. Street parking is hard to find so better to park at the check in location. It can be a lot of back and forth

Whitehouse at grand central Positive: Location was great, close to everything we wanted to do. Quiet environment and comfortable. Negative: The parking, however not a deal breaker.
